A pro-Democracy and Good Governance group, operating under the aegis of Kaduna Restoration Group, has tasked the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), in Kaduna State to conduct free, fair and credible elections on Saturday to save the State from political crisis.

An issued statement by the Kaduna Restoration Group Chairman,, Alhaji (Dr.) Ahmed Tijjani Ramalan yesterday, urged the Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Director State Security Service (DSS), the Military and other security agents in the State to synergise and ensure free fair and credible elections.
The group also urged the Chairman of the Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, to ensure the governorship and House of Assembly elections is credible stressing that the People of Kaduna State will not receive anything short of that.
The statement said: “People of Kaduna State must be protected from any acts of vote-buying, bullying, intimidation of voters and destruction of electoral materials in various polling units across the State in the presence of security agencies
The Chairman believes in the neutrality and competence on the part of the Nigeria Police, whose primary responsibility is to protect lives and property”.
